Rome, 12 septembre 2018, en la fête du Très Saint Nom de Marie – Vendredi 26 octobre 2018, une messe d’action de grâces pour les 30 ans de la Fraternité sacerdotale Saint-Pierre (FSSP) ouvrira le septième pèlerinage international Populus Summorum pontificum. Elle sera célébrée à 18h en l’église de la Très Sainte Trinité des Pèlerins par l’abbé Charles Ike, FSSP, ordonné en 2017 au Nigeria.

Samedi 27 octobre 2018, les pèlerins se retrouveront à 9h30 en la basilique San Lorenzo in Damaso pour l’adoration eucharistique qui précèdera la procession solennelle vers la basilique Saint-Pierre où Mgr Czeslaw Kozon, évêque de Copenhague, célébrera à midi une messe pontificale au cours de laquelle le cardinal Angelo Comastri, archiprêtre de la basilique vaticane, délivrera l’homélie.

À 18 heures le même jour, Mgr François Bacqué, nonce apostolique, chantera les premières vêpres du Christ-Roi à la Trinité des Pèlerins.

Dimanche 28 octobre, fête du Christ-Roi dans le calendrier traditionnel, deux messes seront offertes aux pèlerins : l’une à 9h30, célébrée par l’Institut du Christ Roi Souverain Prêtre en l’église de Jésus-et-Marie pour les fidèles qui désireront se joindre ensuite à l’Angélus pontifical place Saint-Pierre et l’autre à 11h, célébrée par Mgr Kozon, à la Trinité des Pèlerins.

Tout au long de ces trois journées romaines, les pèlerins prieront pour l’Église et la sainteté du sacerdoce.


NB : Vendredi 26 octobre, l’auditorium de l’Augustinianum accueillera une journée de rencontre sur le motu proprio Summorum Pontificum dans le monde, organisée par Paix Liturgique et les fédérations internationales Una Voce et Juventutem. Découvrir ici le programme et les modalités d’inscription.

#sumpont2018 Czeslaw KozonFollowing the success of the tenth anniversary celebrations of Benedict XVI’s motu proprio, the Coetus Internationalis Summorum Pontificum (CISP) is pleased to announce to all pilgrims that, in 2018, The Most Reverend Czeslaw Kozon, Bishop of Copenhagen, will be our guide ad Petri Sedem.

In 2018, the seventh international pilgrimage of the people of Summorum Pontificum to Rome will return to its usual date, the weekend of Christ the King in the extraordinary form of the Roman rite, from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 October.

Taking advantage of the participation of Bishop Kozon, CISP appeals to all the priests and faithful of northern Europe to come and join him on this pilgrimage. To this end, German will be an official language of this pilgrimage, in addition to English, Italian and French.

We thank His Excellency for his agreement to participate and we assure him of our fervent prayers for his apostolate in Denmark.

SEVENTH INTERNATIONAL PILGRIMAGE TO ROME
OF THE PEOPLE OF SUMMORUM PONTIFICUM
26-28 OCTOBER 2018

In 2018, the international pilgrimage of the people of Summorum Pontificum to Rome will return to its customary date and will take place from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 October, the weekend of the Feast of Christ the King.

The pilgrimage will be led by the Most Reverend Czeslaw Kozon, Bishop of Copenhagen.

Friday 26 October

> From 10am until 5pm – First Populus Summorum Pontificum Forum at the invitation of Paix Liturgique, International Federation Una Voce and Juventutem
Institutum Patristicum Augustinianum, Via Paolo VI, 25
Registration fee : 15 euros, including lunch
> 6pm – Opening Mass of the pilgrimage, celebrated by Fr. Ike, FSSP, in thanksgiving for the 30th anniversary of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter

> 9.30am – Eucharistic Adoration (and confessions)

> 12.00 noon – Pontifical High Mass in Saint Peter’s Basilica (at the Altar of the Chair of Peter), celebrated by Mgr Kozon, choir directed by maestro Aurelio Porfiri and homily given by His Eminence Angelo Cardinal Comastri, archpriest of the Papal Basilica of Saint Peter
